Hampi Yaku: Ancestral Medicinal Plant Teas
In this one-day workshop, we learn how to identify, prepare, and serve common regional medicinal plants used in medicinal teas. These teas are still used by most of Imbabura’s rural Kichwa Otavalo runa families to maintain their good health, alleviate symptoms, regulate mood, and cure illness. A handout including color images of the plants will be distributed to each participant.
Friday, November 15, 9:00 am through 4:00 pm
$65 fee includes teachings, an Andean group ceremony, a pachamanka lunch, and round trip transportation from San Francisco Park in Cotacachi or the Otavalo bus terminal.
Registration deadline with 50% deposit is November 6.
